My Story
Cornish Girl Conservation is an environmental blog dedicated to educating the community about Conservation Projects, wildlife and the environment from a unique point of view. I also want to show a realistic insight into working in the Conservation sector while navigating University. However, to understand my opinions and viewpoint, I will briefly explain my background up to this moment.

Growing up in Cornwall, I always loved science and the environment. My childhood of getting lost on walks on the coastline and national trust parks has led me to appreciate the natural world around me. While looking at A Level and University courses, I realised I could combine these loves into a career in conservation and research. This led me to eventually study for a BSc in Evolutionary Biology, where I am now.

I have just finished my second year of University and am about to move to Inverness to start my Placement Year as a Highland Ranger. My original plan was to start this blog as a diary to record my experiences as a Ranger, however, I soon realised this is a platform I could use to share my interests in conservation and experiences I have learnt from whilst at University. From this, Cornish Girl Conservation was born, which I hope to grow and nurture as I continue along my career.
